Lazy Programming
The computer, many more times than not, gets the dice it needs to bound on, knock off and get doubles. This is unfair as the same is untrue of the dice for the human player.
The degree of difficulty should not be hinged upon the computer getting the EXACT rolls that it needs. Instead the difficulty level should focus on the computer playing a strategic, agressive and smart game with a set of randomly generated dice values.
This is lazy programming.
