Love this game, Totally worth it :)

The dice rolls are so lopsided that it is near impossible to have a fair game. Its too bad really, the graphics and smooth easy play are fantastic. But the AI difficulty is based solely on the die the computer gets (doubles often, the perfect combination to hit and cover every time) and the rolls you wont get (doubles are rare unless its double 6 but you are on the rail). Very frustrating.

For fun I calculate the odds of dancing when the computer have 2 points board. Instead of dancing 4/36 , the odds are over 30%. The program is so weak that the coder made the program cheats to create an illusio of strength.

Yes, I agree with the last review - in order to create the expert levels - this game has been programmed to cheat! No other explanation! Not true to life, and that is a shame!

As so many other reviewers have pointed out, due to the way the computer dice is handled its near impossible to win. The dice is extremely biased against the human player. This is coming from someone whos been playing real backgammon since childhood and consider myself pretty good.

Excellent hints available to those of us trying to improve our play. Can also play human vs. human. Very highly recommended! Update: I take it back. There is no question that the AI just gets lucky. Older versions the dice were more fair. Not anymore. Now on higher levels the computer just cheats. Sad. Used to be my favorite game. I give up.

Recently I upd the difficulty level on this game and it seemed the higher the level of difficulty chosen the less "fair and random" the dice becomes .. Often I can predict the perfect rolls the computer seems to always get .. Ultimately this game will change your style of play due to the lack of "random and fairness" dice. DONT WASTE $4 on this game ! Update: I contacted the maker of this app via email and pointed out the problem with the game (dice) being unfair. Response was that its "not fixed" and " cant expect to win every game". Maybe the app maker needs to start reading some reviews on here !

There is no way that the dice are random in this game. Makes it extremely frustrating. Dont waste your time unless you like being frustrated.

This is a great app if you are playing against another person but it falls apart when you play the computer. It clearly has fixed dice which ruins the experience. Im about to delete it until I see an update.

This game is annoying cheating

Although I understand that this game is meant to have a "strong" AI opponent, it does NOT have random dice! If I restart the game over and over, the computer gets a roll to start the game over 80% of the time. Also gets at least 4 times as many doubles and also seems to constantly get the exact roll it needs to escape or to knock out my singles...a nice interface, but VERY FRUSTRATING game!!

Dont be put off by the negative reviews - this is a very nice app. Ive played hundreds of games and it seems fair to me, but very tough if you set the level to advanced or expert. The game play is really nice - easy and intuitive. I like the "hint" option and it has helped my game. I recommend it.

Im adding this to my old review. To all of you who keep saying its a fair game are not mentally awake. This game defies all odds in the natural world. The computer player just rolled 5 doubles in a row! Amazing! It gave me low rolls once I was winning and then gave itself all those doubles to get ahead! It will get exactly the roll it needs, but gives the human player everything but the roll needed. Amazing! Too amazing if you ask me. To those of you who think its a fair game are obviously brain dead or youre an employee/friend of the game designers!! Old part of the review: Ive had igammon for a while now and would love to play more if it was a fair game. Its true what others are saying about how the computer player Always gets the rolls it needs and the opponent Never does. Its uncanny. :0 Plus, it tries to make a move to a spot you havent chosen to make you vulnerable. I do like the design of the board. Thats the reason for the one star. Before you think or say Im not a good player or a newbie, Ive been playing for over 35 years and was taught by a champion. I know how to play and know what Im saying. The odds are rigged!!!! More work on this game is badly needed. It would be a 5-star game if it were truly even odds.

As with most backgammon games, I just dont trust that the dice rolls are random. Playing "Table Stakes" seems to be better than "Match Play" for some reason. Works great on iPhone Nice interface and natural movement of pieces, I really like the look and design of the app.

While I enjoy the game for the graphics, the rolls are definitely not random. When your man is "hit" you rarely get the roll you need to get out until the computer gets all if its men around the board. Im disappointed that it cant play a fair game and lose when it should lose. It takes the challenge away.
